When its cold outside and you just want to sew something up for yourself and the kiddos this super cute fleece hat sewing pattern is perfect. Whip it up super quick in only 30 minutes needed at your sewing machine.
You can download the hat pattern from our sewing academy and get going. The pattern has three sizes, kiddo (age 4+), teen (age 12+) and adult. I have to say though I can easily squeeze into the Medium and Small because my head is rather small. So have a go for the kiddos first and then see.
I have two videos for you here, one which shows how to make the hat in the centre with a pompom on top and one video for altering the pattern and sewing the version with fleece strip bundles and the ear warmers. I loved making both! You will need 1/3 yard of fleece and lining, which can be fleece or a soft lighter weight knit fabric. The options are endless. I would love to make this hat in a more grown up fabric so I can wear it. These examples were made for kiddos and yellow really isn’t my colour!
