In the past, a few customers had asked me to add a cute pair of overalls to my shop. When I became a grandma, I looked for a pattern myself, so I could whip a few up. That’s when I realized there really aren’t any patterns at all featuring all the classic details and I started designing my own sewing pattern. The lovely Emily from our sewing group suggested the name Bobby Dazzler and off I went. Six months later I had a new sewing pattern and video course for the classic overalls ready to go.

In this sewing course you will learn so many wonderful techniques. If sewing the Charlie Brown coat seemed impossible, now it’s possible. I show you step by step how to cut the fabric, prepare the pieces and sew the coat together. Wonderful bound buttonholes, a wide collar and a beautiful lining. The back has the traditional opening, which can be quite tricky. But when you can watch every step even that is absolutely doable.

The western blouse pattern and sewing course features a simple version for the blouse. This is excellent practice. On top of that you will also be able to watch the videos for the girls blouse which include many techniques from piping to applying bias binding . Watching the video makes things so much easier, especially if you are a beginner sewist.

Please note, that the Out & About bag was renamed London tote bag. Especially in its German translation, the name is just too long. As I first fell in love with this type of bag on a trip to London,it seemed rather a fitting name for a trendy and cute tote bag.

You can sew this tote bag with a welt pocket (Option: 1) or with sassy colour blocking. Option: 1 has a wider central block whereas option: 2 is designed for a slimmer block effect!
When you topstitch the seams of the central colour block on either side, it gives the bag more stability and adds an interesting feature. More importantly, it also gives you more options when it comes to fabric choice. This is the main reason why the front has two different widths for the colour blocking. In the above examples of the London tote bag, I chose gorgeous themes and paired them with polka dot fabrics. Hopefully they will inspire you to create some awesome bags yourself.
All the options include a facing with a recessed zipper which will keep unwanted fingers out!
