Betsy Skirt Doll
The Betsy Doll Skirt Sewing Pattern was designed with the 70 and ’80s in mind. When I was a little girl I loved those skirts and I remember my mother telling me that I wasn’t wearing ‘that’ skirt again because “It’s in the wash!”
To me, the button-down design is just perfect for the summer. This doll’s version does come with a girl’s version, too. So once you are confident and have made the doll’s version, you can step it up and make a girl’s version. It’s almost the same method and the FREE video tutorial makes sewing a pleasure. The skirt has an optional hem trim, perfect for embellishment and embroidery. The front has a button placket that overlaps and can be sewn in a contrast fabric, too.
The pattern is supported by a step-by-step guide (eBook) and easy-to-follow video tutorial, excellent if you are a little unsure about some of the steps. I like to offer you a bundle, too. The matching Tilly crop top is a perfect match for girls and dolls. For the Tilly & Betsy bundle click here.
All the videos for the doll collection are available for free on YouTube and at the Sewing Academy, so you can have a look before you purchase the pattern. Watch the main video tutorial now by scrolling down to the video section and enjoy.
This PDF pattern is designed to fit 18″ dolls (46-50cm). If you are in any doubt that your doll will fit this dress, these measurements will help.
